ABOUND Founder and Senior Consultant
Laura graduated from Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, where she completed her Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Employment Relations. Always having a keen interest in studying organizations and people, her academic pursuits later led her to Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, United Kingdom where she earned a Master of Science in Business Psychology and Coaching Psychology. This globally recognized program holds accreditation from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and equipped Laura with formal training and practicum experience in coaching. After completing her Masters in Coaching Psychology, Laura continued her coaching training through Gold Mind Academy in the UK to become a globally accredited ADHD-Specialist Coach.

Laura's diverse work experience in Recruiting, Coaching, Training and Development, and HR Consulting have provided her with unique insights into the intricacies of the workplace with clients spanning local, national, and international settings. Her broad industry experience includes construction, engineering, architecture, biotechnology, financial technology, higher education, marketing and sales, information technology, human resources as well as accounting and finance.

Deeply passionate about neurodiversity, mental health, and coaching, due to her own personal experiences, Laura's Master's dissertation topic centered on coaching for neurodiversity in the workplace, and she remains up-to-date on this complex and evolving topic by conducting in-depth research.

With a commitment to ongoing research and learning about others' lived experiences, she remains dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of diversity and inclusivity in the workplace. Laura enjoys working with neurodivergent clients and different thinkers. While the over-all goals of coaching remain the same for all clients, Laura is trained in a variety of approaches, tools and techniques and understands the importance of adapting her approach to best meet the needs of her clients.
